Sheebah Reveals She Had A Tough Time In Obsessions

Songstress Sheebah Karungi might be currently one of the most successful artistes at the moment. However, her rise to the top wasn’t the easiest as she revealed in a local TV interview.

The Nakyuka singer revealed that she had a tough time during her stay in the Obsessions.

According to Sheebah, she joined the group when she was aged just 17 years. She was previously a Karaoke dancer and most of her band members looked down on her. At times she wasn’t even paid or got less after performances.

“I joined the Obsessions at age 17. My life in Obsessions was tricky since I was just a former Karaoke performer. Most of the girls in the group saw me unfit to be among them. I wasn’t a priority and used to earn less or nothing at all,” she added.

Further, still about her music journey, she revealed that she used to look up to Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy. It was for this reason that she hunted the Boom Party singer down to write her a song.

Sheebah did this song titled Nkunyenyeze with producer Washington but she was all shivering. This was because she had not had any proper studio orientation while in the Obsessions.

However, Sheebah and Cindy now don’t see eye to eye because of their quest for supremacy and dominance.
