Victoria University Celebrates Culture Through Food, Language And Dress

In a bid to recognize diverse cultures of students, Victoria University held International day event under the theme celebrating culture through food, language and dress” on Saturday.

The annual event held to recognize unique cultural from different continent offered students to show case their different cultural diversity.

The whole day event gave students opportunity to show case and exhibit their cultural dresses, food, speak in local language and compete in traditional dances.

Team Eritrea emerged top winners to beat the 10 different countries after displacing most out standing creative food and dancing performance at this year’s edition of the Victoria University International day celebration on Saturday.

Victoria university is multicultural university that has students coming from diverse countries namely Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, DR Congo, Somalia, Eritrea, Kenya, South Sudan, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

Victoria University, is one of the best universities in Uganda, and stands out as a center of academic excellence.

According to university Vice chancellor Dr.Krishna Sharma they offer a fresh and intellectually stimulating environment that nurtures critical thinkers.

Victoria university was opened in August 2010

It has the capacity, the facilities and determination to revitalize higher education in Uganda and in the region.
