How I Went Through Series Of Sexual Abuse At The Age Of 3 To 10 Years

At the age 3 to 10 years I went through a series of sexual abuse.There was a relative probably in his teens who would touch my privates and I honestly didn’t know how to react. I thought, that is what is normal. I didn’t know it was sexual abuse.

At some point my mum had a bar and one time I woke up to find her fighting a drunkard who had found his way to the bedroom and was almost raping me.

Around the same period I was in baby class.we had a house boy called Matia who would pick me from school give me food and tell me to go to bed for afternoon nap, he would then rub his genitals on mine until he came. I innocently endured all this until one day I told my dad (Late Owen Ogaino) that Matia makes hot Susu on my Susu.

All I remember is my mum going crazy fighting the guy and having him arrested

I still had no idea it was sexual abuse.

At 5 years, My mum had to work so we hired a female house maid who would make me touch her genitals. Until she came. Why would she do that?

I still didn’t know it was sexual abuse

At around 7- 8 years I joined boarding school and there was an older girl called Doreen who used to come to our beds and touch us inappropriately, she would warn us against playing with boys
She would tell us that boys are dangerous and that their private parts hurt a lot.

Wabula she would beat you if she got wind that you played with a boy during break time.

All this happened and none of my parents knew about it. How would they know? I didn’t know that what was being done to me was wrong.

I only grew up to realize that I was taken advantage of.

Parents please teach your children to know what is a bad touch, to report and to always open up to you. Yes as young as 1 yr ( I don’t know if it makes sense )

I look at my daughter and every damn day I tell her what a bad touch is,

I check her frequently and almost watch her like a hawk while she plays in neighborhood

My neighbors call me a lugezi gezi mum

But I know what I went through. I am not afraid to confront any male or female I feel is a threat to my daughter.

Yes, some family members hate me for my outspokenness. I shall not keep quiet until I name and shame them all.

Child abuse is real! SexualAbuse

Open your eyes parents. Those uncle’s are a threat, those cousins, those housemaids, those house boys on those step siblings. Even the father’s are a threat.

Afterthought: I once interacted with a lady who told me that it was her father who broke her virginity at 9 yrs and continued to molest till she was 16 when she left home and got Married. Poor lady also has daughters and is always scared for them.
